Temperature Corporation manufactures the mini series of chillers from AC - 1.5 to AC - 5. Our mini series of portable chillers can be moved from one piece of process equipment to another using casters. With a single compressor, the mini portable chiller is a compact model that offers low capacity cooling of 1.5 tons to a maximum of 5 tons at 50 F leaving water temperature at 95 F plant air temperature. Temperature range is from 20 F to 60 F leaving water temperature.

Main Features

COMPRESSOR
The mini portable chiller comes with a single scroll compressor that ranges from 1.5 to 5 hp and comes with a hot gas by-pass for two (2) steps of capacity control, 100%, 50% and off.

EVAPORATOR
The evaporator for the mini portable chiller features a 1.5 to 5 ton stainless steel copper brazed plate chiller vessel with an outlet freeze thermostat, water flow switch and return line bronze "Y" strainer.

CONDENSER
The condenser is a 1.5 to 5 ton indoor air cooled condenser with copper tubes and aluminum fins with a top discharge propeller fan direct coupled to the fan motor.

TANK
The tank for the mini chiller is a 16 gauge stainless steel welded tank complete with ˝" armaflex insulated tank with an 1 Ľ" clear plastic water level - fill tube with vent cap, side bottom drain with shut-off valve and return line shutoff valve. Tank capacity ranges from 6 to 15 gallons. The tank on the 1.5 to 3 ton chillers are 10"w x 6"d x 22"h with a 6 gallon capacity, on the 4 to 5 ton the tank is 12" x 12" x 24" long with a 15 gallon capacity.

PUMP
The mini comes with a stainless steel pump close coupled to a 3500 rpm ODP motor and complete with a suction shutoff valve, a suction hose for pump removal, a discharge flow control shutoff valve, non-ferrous piping and a pump discharge pressure gauge with shutoff valve. TEFC motors optional.

CONTROLS
The controls for the mini chiller consist of a two (2) stage solid state digital temperature controller with adjustable set points, refrigeration high and low pressure safeties, run and fail lights and compressor and fan motors internal thermal overload protection in winding.

FREEZE PROTECTION
The mini chiller uses both a flow switch and a freeze thermostat.

COMPONENTRY
Other notable components include a refrigeration expansion valve, sight glass moisture indicator, filter dryer, liquid line solenoid with shutoff valve, a hot gas solenoid with shutoff valve and a compressor crankcase heater.

FRAME SIZE
Chiller base frame is fabricated from 14 ga. stainless steel welded with 5" casters: two swivel, two rigid.

VOLTAGE 1.5 to 5 ton 230V, 1 phase, 60 hertz. 5 ton 230/460/575V, 3 phase, 60 hertz.
